Lima Memorial is one of many hospitals across the nation facing significant capacity constraints within our inpatient units. In addition to increased health care needs and limited capacity, the prevalence of patients in observation status continues to increase. With our community's support, we will establish a dedicated Observation Unit at Lima Memorial Health System.

Journey Repackaged, Healthcare Reimagined 2022

Lima Memorial Foundation’s Journey 2022, Journey Repackaged, Healthcare Reimagined addresses an emerging need in our community—helping patients with chronic diseases effectively manage their ongoing healthcare needs at home. We will create a program to coordinate care among providers and healthcare settings, establish a network of services and resources and remove barriers to receiving necessary home health care. With your help, we can meet this critical need and continue Lima Memorial’s commitment to providing the most advanced care for our patients locally.

A Critical Journey 2021

In 2021, the Lima Memorial Foundation united our community to raise $1.2 million to establish a dedicated Inpatient Renal Dialysis Treatment Center where advanced renal services are provided in a private, family-centered environment with unparalleled quality, safety and comfort. The new Center opened in March 2022.

A Journey Like No Other 2020

The Lima Memorial Foundation Journey Gala has become a premier event for our region. And while COVID-19 impacted our ability to unite together for an event, it didn’t impact our ability to unite together for a cause. A Journey Like No Other, Where Cancer Can’t Hide raised over $750,000 to take on the top cancers impacting our region – breast, colorectal, lung and prostate cancer.

Journey in Motion | September 12, 2019

A flurry of motion transcended upon FlexArm as more than 800 friends of our Foundation came together at Journey in Motion to fulfill an important community need – to bring the most advanced inpatient rehabilitation to our region. Thank you to the many individuals and businesses who made a motion to help our patients regain their motion.

Journey to the Red Carpet | September 13, 2018

More than 800 friends of the Lima Memorial Foundation walked the red carpet at our 17th annual Journey gala. An astounding $780,000 of the $2.5 million project was raised to support the transformation of inpatient rehabilitation for our region.

Journey for the Heart | September 14, 2017

A Masterpiece has come to Life!

More than 700 friends of the Lima Memorial Foundation went on a creative Journey for the Heart at Warehouse Associates LP. Guests enjoyed an evening full of artistic delights, including observing live artists and savoring a unique blend of food and drink while networking with friends. Thanks to outstanding participation in the fund-a-need and silent, live and art auctions, more than $700,000 was raised that will be directly invested into our heart program.
