As an accredited Chest Pain Center for primary PCI, Lima Memorial provides quality, up-to-date care for patients experiencing chest pain. Maintaining this accreditation through the American College of Cardiology means that Lima Memorial has dedicated physicians and staff in interventional cardiology and emergency medicine who are trained to rapidly recognize and treat a heart attack. By acting quickly in the first stages of a heart attack, damage to your heart muscle can be reduced.
If you suspect a heart attack, call 9-1-1 immediately.
Call 9-1-1 immediately if you are experiencing sudden or persistent chest pain, pressure, squeezing or discomfort, as these may be symptoms of a heart attack. Additional symptoms may include:
- Pain in one or both arms
- Jaw or upper back pain
- Shortness of breath
- Sweating and / or nausea
