Family Planning and Childbirth Classes
In our Family Birth Center, we want you to be as comfortable as possible during childbirth, and we know comfort begins with you knowing what to expect. Our team is committed to helping expectant parents safely and comfortably welcome their newborns.
The Lima Memorial Family Birth Center offers in-person or online courses that can take place in the comfort of your own home. You will learn about the stages of labor, comfort techniques, common medical procedures performed during labor (epidurals, cesareans, etc.), plus newborn and postpartum care and more.
2024 Understanding Childbirth Class Schedule

Classes are from 6 - 7:30 p.m., with a Q&A from 7:30 - 8 p.m.
*Class includes breastfeeding education. Breastfeeding education is from 8 - 8:30 p.m.
To register for an upcoming Understanding Childbirth class, please complete the form below, or email familybirtheducation@limamemorial.org If you wish to participate virtually, a Webex link for your specific class will be emailed to you at the email address you provide during registration.
Once registered for a class, books and other educational materials will be mailed to you in advance, so you have time to review and be prepared to ask questions.
