Level II Neonatal Nursery
When babies need a little more support, Lima Memorial Family Birth Center is here with a Level II neonatal nursery to provide the advanced care they need. The neonatal nursery provides care for babies born at 32 weeks gestation or later. The nursery staff includes pediatric hospitalists, registered nurses and respiratory therapists specially trained in advanced neonatal care.
While your baby is in our Special Care Nursery, we offer courtesy stays so mothers may stay with their baby as room is available. Parents are encouraged to spend as much time as possible with their newborns and learn about their care while in the Special Care Nursery. A large window provides viewing for other family and friends while your baby is in special care.
As you prepare to bring baby home, Lima Memorial Level II neonatal nursery staff will work closely with you and your family to educate and teach about special procedures or medications your newborn may need.
