Cardiac Testing for Heart and Vascular Issues
Heart Diagnosis and Early Detection of Heart Conditions
Cardiac testing is essential for early detection of cardiac and vascular problems before life-threatening events occur. The highly trained staff of the Lima Memorial Cardiac Treatment Center (CTC) include physicians, cardiac nurses, sonographers, technicians, and therapists.
The Cardiac Treatment Center uses a variety of cardiac test equipment and diagnostic procedures. Key tests include treadmill exercise stress tests using state-of-the-art SPECT imaging to assess cardiac-related symptoms, nuclear stress tests to detect inadequate blood supply, and specialized imaging technology to see and assess the condition of the heart muscle.
The CTC also provides a wide range of other heart testing, monitoring and cardiac health programs, including:
- Tilt table testing
- Electrocardiograms
- Holter portable scanning systems
- 30-day event recording
- Accredited echocardiography laboratory (the first accredited echocardiography lab in the region)
- Cardiac rehabilitation program
- Pacemaker clinic
- Implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) clinic
- Congestive heart failure clinic
