Centralized Lab Services with 7 Collection Sites
Lima Memorial provides full lab services for patients, long-term care facilities and local area physician offices. We are the only health system in the region with a lab outreach program, with 7 convenient collection sites.
The centralized lab in Lima Memorial Hospital is a full-service, 24/7 diagnostic lab. Most testing is performed same-day, ensuring high quality test results that are delivered accurately and quickly, so that doctors can treat their patients' needs.
Each individual lab maintains office hours for walk-in testing for patients. Lima Memorial Lab Services centers open early, close late and offer Saturday and Sunday hours to accommodate busy schedules. No appointment is needed; just walk in at a time convenient to you.

The Ow to Wow Room
A comforting distraction during bloodwork
Lima Memorial’s outpatient laboratory is pleased to offer the “Ow to Wow” room to patients, especially children, who would benefit from a comforting distraction while blood is being drawn. The Ow to Wow room is a specially painted lab draw room that uses hidden black lights to reveal a wondrous and calming under-the-sea scene.
The room was completed in partnership with Ow to Wow, LLC, a company created by a lab manager with a vision of providing a better experience for patients who may feel anxious or scared when they need blood drawn. With the Ow to Wow room, Lima Memorial is able to provide an enhanced and more comfortable bloodwork experience.
While all children needing blood drawn will be seated in the Ow to Wow Room, parents and guardians of non-pediatric patients who may benefit from using the room may inquire about the room upon arrival to the Lima Memorial Health System Outpatient Laboratory or call 419-226-5168 with any questions.
