Burlin Sherrick Recognized as Health Care Worker of the Year Finalist

Burlin Sherrick, Executive Director of Ancillary Services, was recognized last evening at the annual Ohio Hospital Association's Recognition Dinner in Columbus as one of five finalists for the 2023 Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award. This special recognition is presented annually to one Ohio caregiver who is nominated by their peers as someone who represents a leader, gives back to their community, reflects the mission values of their organization and routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Burlin has been a true leader in providing exceptional care to the community for more than 25 years. He has spearheaded multiple outreach efforts to bring front-line services and technologies to our health system, including going to great lengths to implement high-quality local COVID-19 testing faster than any hospital in the region during the pandemic. Burlin has remained steadfast in this mission. He is looked upon at Lima Memorial and in the community as a trusted resource who can move mountains for patients and humans in need.
