Dr. Jeremy Heffner Reaches 1,000th da Vinci® Robotic Surgery Milestone

Dr. Jeremy Heffner, board-certified acute care and general surgeon, will be completing his 1,000th da Vinci® robotic surgery case on Tuesday, July 10. He began performing robotic surgeries at Lima Memorial in 2013. In 2016, Dr. Heffner and Lima Memorial Health System, were exclusively selected to be a designated site for the da Vinci® Robotic Mentor Program. As a result, surgeons and administrators throughout the country come to Lima Memorial to observe him; understand how he utilizes da Vinci® technology to treat patients; study his specific techniques and learn how to produce similar clinical outcomes that have resulted in an exceptionally higher standard of care for the Lima community.
As he looks beyond this milestone, Dr. Heffner remains committed to advancing general surgery procedures through da Vinci® robotic technology. “It is an honor and privilege to serve the Lima community, and this effort could not be completed without the amazing team at Lima Memorial,” states Dr. Heffner. “Without this team we could not function at such an elite level.”
