Evening Dedicated to Raising Awareness of Food Insecurities

The Lima Memorial Emerging Philanthropists, West Ohio Food Bank (WOFB) and Lima Senior High School culinary students hosted an insightful evening dedicated to raising awareness about food insecurities in our community.
Attendees emerged from this event with a better understanding of food insecurities that are present in the greater Lima region and how to make a difference through support of the West Ohio Food Bank. Lima Senior High School culinary students provided an educational presentation and offered samples of a winning culinary meal made of items commonly found at the WOFB.
This event was free to the public at the West Ohio Food Bank located at 1380 E Kibby St, Lima. The evening included a visual demonstration of what $20 from a traditional grocery store could purchase compared to a $20 donation to the WOFB, tours of the food bank, prepackaged meal kits were available for a $20 WOFB donation and student recipe cards were available for a donation.
