King Family Donates King-Sized Toy Donation to LMHS Pediatrics

Ten years after his death, Toni King has kept the memory of her son, Dan, alive with an annual fund raiser in his name. The Dan King Poker Run is a day full of activities, organized by the family and friends of Dan, designed to raise money for charity and give back to the community in his memory. The efforts this year once again exceeded expectations by reaching $17,000. Part of the proceeds raised is being donated to the Lima Memorial Pediatric Unit through a large donation of toys, games and arts & crafts for children and teenagers to enjoy during their time spent in the hospital.
This Wednesday, August 16, at 1:00 p.m., Toni King and several family members will be visiting the Pediatric Unit on behalf of the 10th annual Dan King Poker run to make the donation.
