On Friday, August 19, at 11:30 a.m., Lima Memorial Auxiliary volunteers will present several boxes full of essential school supplies to the Children’s Developmental Center (CDC). The generous donations come as a result of an annual supply drive led this year by the Lima Memorial Auxiliary.
Each year, the drive provides an opportunity for Lima Memorial associates to help provide classroom items that will greatly benefit the development of children who need it most. Lima Memorial associates look forward to helping support our local CDC’s efforts by ensuring classroom materials and much-needed items like paper towels, cleaning supplies and snack items are donated.
Housed at Lima Memorial Health System, the Children’s Developmental Center of Lima is a school-based program for children birth to school age who have developmental disabilities and need help as they grow. The focus of this unique program is an interdisciplinary approach that includes developmental classes as well as physical, occupational and speech therapies.
