Today, the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary donated $100,000 to the Lima Memorial Foundation, culminating year-long fundraising activities. In addition the Auxiliary pledged $500,000 to help fund a new front lobby and Auxiliary Gift Shop. The expansion project is scheduled for groundbreaking in Spring 2017 and also includes the addition of a Professional Office Building.
With the recent fulfillment of a $300,000 pledge toward the Family Birth Center expansion, the Auxiliary was in a position to support a new project, and the front lobby was a perfect fit. “Whether it be a welcoming smile at the visitor information desk, a cheerful thank you at the gift shop or a comforting exchange at our café, our Auxillians shape the patient and family experience with a positive first impression in our front lobby,” stated Mike Swick, Lima Memorial Health System President and CEO.
“Our Auxiliary members donate their time, talent and resources day in and day out, and it has been an honor to serve as their president. It seemed only fitting to pledge our support to the front lobby project to continue our tradition of caring,” stated Karen Phillips, outgoing Auxiliary President.
