The Pre-Operative Clinic at Lima Memorial Health System is celebrating 1000 patients served through its Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Program. The program’s mission is to improve surgical care across the peri-operative spectrum to serve patients undergoing surgical procedures who may benefit from optimization in order to prevent surgical complications, improve outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.
Through the ERAS Program, Lima Memorial surgical care providers identify ways in which patients’ health can be improved before surgery to make recovery easier and faster. Best practice methods are utilized to decrease readmissions, length of stay and surgical complications, and patients report feeling better and having better outcomes.
“Successfully helping more than 1000 patients with the ERAS Program positions Lima Memorial as a leader in innovative surgical care,” shares Kasey Harrod, Certified Nurse Practitioner, Anesthesia. “It not only signifies Lima Memorial’s commitment to cutting-edge, patient-centered care but also strengthens our role in enhancing community health and setting benchmarks in health care, making it a pivotal achievement for both our hospital and the community we serve.”
