Lima Memorial Exploring Program Hosts Dissection Night

The Lima Memorial Health System ExploringTM Program is hosting a medical dissection session on Wednesday, February 22. This exciting session will give program participants the chance to practice hands-on exploration of surgical procedures, all under the instruction of Dr. Brandon Colvin, General Surgeon with Lima Memorial Health System Surgical Specialists.
“We are very excited to share this with our local high school students,” shares Dr. Colvin. “They will have the chance to practice real surgical methods and learn about the skills and abilities needed for today’s surgical professionals.”
The session will also include PPE and surgical preparation stations hosted by representatives of Rhodes State College, providing a well-rounded experience of what to expect when pursuing a career in surgery.
The ExploringTM Program aims to provide high school students with positive and meaningful real-world experiences and leadership development opportunities in their healthcare fields of interest. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with representatives of Lima Memorial and learn about the latest healthcare technology and educational requirements for a health care career.
