Raising Funds for Children’s Hunger Alliance
Did you know that one in five children in Ohio faces food insecurity? The Lima Memorial Foundation Emerging Philanthropists and the Children’s Hunger Alliance invite you to an insightful event on Thursday, August 15, focused on raising awareness about children’s food insecurity in our area. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Lincoln Park and last until approximately 1 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and contribute an amount equal to their usual lunch expense to support the Children’s Hunger Alliance. Donations provided during the event will directly aid in their mission to provide healthy food, essential nutrition education and opportunities for physical activity to children who need it most.
"No child should go hungry, and the Emerging Philanthropists are passionate about shedding light on this important topic,” shared Ann Welly, Emerging Philanthropists Chair, All Service Glass President. “We are eagerly looking forward to hosting this year’s Emerge event in partnership with Children's Hunger Alliance to make a difference for children in our community.”
