16th Annual Gala to Raise Funds for Cardiac Advancements
On Thursday, September 14, more than 700 friends of the Lima Memorial Foundation will come together to Journey for the Heart. The 16th Annual Lima Memorial Foundation fundraising gala will be held at Warehouse Associates in Lima. The warehouse will be transformed into an artistic venue, filled with creative wonder that will inspire many to invest in shaping the future of heart care for the region.
“Our cardiac team is constantly focused on new innovations that will improve healthcare delivery and provide outstanding patient outcomes,” stated Lynn Carpenter, Executive Director of the Lima Memorial Foundation. “In order to remain a leader in cardiac care, Lima Memorial is seeking support to bring the most advanced heart rhythm management capabilities to the region and invest in emerging technology.”
“Lima Memorial is proud of its strong tradition of partnering with the community to bring advanced technology and exceptional physicians to our region,” commented Scott Shutt, Lima Memorial Foundation Board Chairman and Vice President of Kewpee Hamburgers. Journey for the Heart will celebrate the Lima Memorial Heart and Vascular Institute’s strong 20-year history of providing comprehensive cardiac services for the region and rally support for program advancements. The event is expected to raise in excess of $500,000 to invest in emerging cardiac technology, including an electrophysiology lab to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders.
Leveraging our relationship with The Ohio State University Heart & Vascular Center, our expert team of physicians will be able to perform the most intricate electrophysiology procedures of the heart. Access to this technology has become vital to meeting patient needs and will result in reduced stress and financial burden by keeping exceptional heart care close to home.
Funds generated will also benefit the community with expanded services for individuals with congestive heart failure, the most advanced cardiac imaging and support systems and an expert team of cardiologists and cardiothoracic & vascular surgeons who has access to the very best resources to care for the community.
