Lima Memorial Foundation Recognizes Philanthropy

Paying Special Tribute to William C. Timmermeister

On Thursday, April 6, the Lima Memorial Foundation will host Ovation, an event to honor individuals and businesses who believe in and are committed to advancing the health of our community through philanthropic gifts to the Foundation. Twenty-five individuals and businesses will be recognized with the Henderson Award for their contributions to the Lima Memorial Foundation, cumulatively reaching $25,000. In addition three businesses will receive the distinguished Chairman Award for their lifetime contribution to the Lima Memorial Foundation exceeding  $100,000. One individual will be recognized with the Lima Memorial Foundation Ambassador of the Year Award, and a local business will receive the Infinity Award for displaying a boundless commitment to Lima Memorial.  

The highlight of the evening will be a special tribute to long-time business owner William C. Timmermeister. He is being joined by his family and friends to celebrate his unwavering generosity, care and compassion for our community. As a founding member of the Lima Memorial Foundation, Mr. Timmermeister’s leadership has been instrumental in bringing many healthcare advancements to our region. In addition Bill has been actively involved with countless agencies and organizations over the years through committed board service and support.

The Lima Memorial Foundation was established to support Lima Memorial Health System through philanthropy. Over the years, the Foundation has been the catalyst for bringing revolutionary technology and enhancements to the Lima region. In recent years, with the support of the community, the Foundation contributed the funds needed for: Timmermeister Family Surgery Center, simulation and education training center, da Vinci® surgical robots, advanced lung cancer diagnostic technology, rehabilitation equipment, Tru-D disinfecting robots, patient and family support and resources and program & service enhancements.
