Lima Memorial Foundation Unites Community for Journey 2023

On Thursday, September 21, Friends of the Lima Memorial Foundation will unite for Journey 2023, an elegant evening dedicated to supporting the advancement of local health care. This year’s event will take place at 19 Hawthorne, where guests will enjoy gourmet food, networking and live and silent auctions. A highlight of the evening will be a fund-a-need paddle raise to support the establishment of a dedicated Observation Unit at Lima Memorial.
“We are grateful for our community who continues to unite to advance local health care through support of the Lima Memorial Foundation,” says Lynn Carpenter, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. All proceeds from this year’s Journey event will directly benefit those we are so privileged to care for throughout the region.
Earlier this year, the Lima Memorial Foundation Board of Directors committed to raising $500,000 to establish the dedicated Observation Unit. 100% of all gifts made to the Lima Memorial Foundation stays within the community in support of healthcare programs, services and advanced technology.
“An Observation Unit will increase our ability to care for observation patients, especially those presenting with cardiac symptoms,” shared Dr. Mehran Arabpour, Lima Memorial Health System Cardiologist and Chest Pain Center Medical Director. “This will eliminate the need for our family, friends and neighbors to travel outside of the region to receive the care they need.”
