Lima Memorial Health System Honored with Baldridge Commitment to Excellence Award

Lima Memorial Health System was recently awarded the 2018 Silver, Commitment to Excellence Award by The Partnership for Excellence (TPE). The award recognizes LMHS for performance excellence through innovation, results and visionary leadership using the internationally-recognized Baldrige Excellence Framework. TPE’s primary product is a comprehensive assessment that helps organizational leaders better understand and prioritize key strengths and opportunities for improvements. While the assessment is the foundation, TPE’s main focus is on organizational learning, innovation, resource optimization, continuous improvement and results.
In March, a group of independent board examiners visited Lima Memorial and rigorously evaluated seven areas defined by the Baldrige Excellence Framework: leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, workforce, operations and results. This process included more than 1,000 hours of application review along with a three-day onsite visit to clarify and verify information submitted in the application. Following the visit, an independent panel of judges reviewed the evaluation, approved feedback reports and developed their award recommendation.

Lima Memorial will be honored at TPE’s annual Quest for Success Conference in Columbus, Ohio this September.
