Lima Memorial Health System Hosts 26th Annual EMS Week Banquet

On Sunday, May 21, 2023, Lima Memorial Health System honored its Emergency Medical Service (EMS) community at the 26th Annual Lima Memorial EMS Banquet. This event took place at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center.
A number of awards were given throughout the night to honor EMS members who have provided exemplary service in the greater Lima region. These awards were:

LMHS Lifetime Achievement Awards - Mark Miller, Wayne Township Fire and Rescue; Wendy Hill, Rhodes State College; Matthew Myers, Shawnee Township Fire Department

Cardiac Run of the Year - Vincent Skeins, Eric Snapp, and Tony Stinebaugh, of Wapakoneta Fire Department

Mass Casualty Teamwork Award - Lima Fire Department, Shawnee Township Fire Department, Bath Township Fire Department, Mercy Health-Lima Allen County Paramedics and Perry Township Fire Department

The event’s keynote speaker was Jo Terry of Chip Terry Fund for First Responders. Jo presented “Trauma and its Effect on First Responders and Their Family” during the evening. Jo is the President of The Chip Terry Fund for First Responders, which she and her six children established to provide first responders and their families with educational, financial and emotional support.
