Lima Memorial Health System Hosts Therapy Career Exploring™ Day

As part of its ongoing Exploring™ Program, Lima Memorial will be hosting a Therapy Career Exploration Day on Wednesday, December 11 at 7 p.m. Exploring™ exists to teach important life and career skills to young people from all backgrounds in grades 9-12. This program is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between the students and Lima Memorial Health System. The result is a program of interactive activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow and develop.
Wednesday’s program will take place at the Lima Memorial Wellness Center located inside the Lima Family YMCA. Designed to highlight physical and occupational therapy career options, students will have the opportunity to participate in therapy-driven exercises to gain an understanding of the role therapists have in helping patients regain independence after a stroke, injury, illness or surgery.
The Exploring™ Program is designed to provide positive and meaningful real-world career experiences and leadership development opportunities for students in their chosen field(s) of interest. Participants will gain knowledge to make informed decisions about future careers and determine if a particular healthcare career is right for them.
