Lima Memorial Health System to Host Spring EMS Symposium

Lima Memorial Health System will host the annual Spring Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Symposium on Saturday, April 7 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Auxiliary Conference Center for all local emergency medical service providers.
Lima Memorial provides medical direction to 27 of the region's EMS departments and strives to equip them with ongoing education to enhance their knowledge and training. This continuing education event will cover a variety of vital EMS topics. Featured speakers for this event include members from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit who will be presenting information from the Operation Street Smart Drug Education Program. Corporal Brian Toth, Captain Shawn Bain and Sergeant Michael Powell will be discussing paraphernalia concealment, alcohol, marijuana, pills, heroin, Narcan and maintenance drugs.
