Lima Memorial celebrated its remarkable team of volunteers at the annual Volunteer Recognition & Awards Banquet on Friday, April 25, at the Old Barn Restaurant & Grill. This annual event is held during National Volunteer Week and is a heartfelt celebration of the volunteers who dedicate themselves to Lima Memorial, its patients and our community.
More than 88 awards were given to 67 volunteers beginning at 250 hours of service. Notably, Charles Good was honored with a diamond American Hospital Association pin for an outstanding 10,000 hours of service.
National Volunteer Week gives Lima Memorial a special opportunity to honor volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to the health system throughout the year. In 2024, volunteers dedicated an astounding 39,800 hours of service. Lima Memorial currently has more than 135 active volunteers in various health system areas.
