Lima Memorial Health System will host its next ExploringTM event for high school students, grades 9-12, on Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. highlighting the variety of cardiac-related career options. Students will have the opportunity to work with Dr. Pamela Gardner, Board-Certified Cardiologist, and our cardiac team, to learn about the general anatomy of a heart through the dissection of a pig heart. Multiple dissection stations will be set up to ensure all students have the opportunity for hands-on learning.

The Exploring™ Program is designed to provide positive and meaningful real-world experiences and leadership development opportunities for students in their chosen field(s) of interest. By becoming a program participant, students will be able to make informed decisions about future careers and determine if a particular healthcare career is right for them. As an explorer, students will, participate in hands-on experiences, network with healthcare professionals, learn about the latest technology in health care, learn about educational requirements needed and practice leadership skills.
