Lima Memorial to Offer Car Seat Installation Training Event

Estimates say seven out of 10 car seats are improperly installed. The healthcare professionals at Lima Memorial want to change this alarming statistic by offering free car seat installation training to the public on Wednesday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents, grandparents and caregivers can have cars and car seats evaluated by Lima Memorial’s Certified Safety Instructors to ensure child safety. Instructors will make sure the child’s seat is installed correctly and teach individuals how to install a car seat properly on their own. The event will take place in Lima Memorial’s parking lot B, across from Happy Daz. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the Lima Memorial Family Birth Center.
Our team of Certified Safety Instructors offers car seat safety check services to parents year round. This service provides insight on critical factors when it comes to child protection in a moving vehicle, such as the need to have a 5-point restraint car seat and keeping children under two years of age facing the rear of a car.
