Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center Earns ACR Reaccreditation

Following a rigorous reaccreditation survey from the American College of Radiology (ACR), Lima Memorial Health System Women’s Health Center earned a three-year reaccreditation for stereotactic biopsy. With this achievement, the Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center remains designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by being fully accredited in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and stereotactic biopsy.
"Our Women’s Health Center is completely committed to the pursuit of excellence and quality care, and earning this accreditation again is proof of that," said Dr. Darlene Weyer, Medical Director of Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center. "There is nothing more important than to assist our patients in the early detection of breast cancer. The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR practice parameters and technical standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Lima Memorial’s gold seal accreditation reassures patients that Lima Memorial meets the standards for imaging quality and safety.
