Following a rigorous reaccreditation survey from the American College of Radiology (ACR), Lima Memorial Health System Women’s Health Center earned a three-year reaccreditation for breast ultrasound and breast ultrasound biopsy. With this achievement, the Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center remains designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by being fully accredited in breast ultrasound and breast ultrasound biopsy.
“At Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center, we strive to deliver the absolute best care beyond every patient’s expectations,” says Dr. Darlene Weyer, Medical Director of Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center. “We know that the earlier cancer is found, the better the prognosis for the patient. Our state-of-the-art equipment and Genius 3D Mammography™, along with our professional and dedicated team, help ensure the detection of breast cancer in its earliest stages, resulting in the best outcomes for patients.”
The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR practice parameters and technical standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Lima Memorial’s gold seal accreditation reassures patients that Lima Memorial meets the standards for imaging quality and safety.
