Golfers Tee Up to Benefit Healthcare Advancements
On Monday, May 21, 2018, the Lima Memorial Foundation will host its annual Golf Classic at Shawnee Country Club. The shotgun scramble will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the afternoon flight teeing off at 1:30 p.m. Presenting sponsors, Tuttle Construction & Touchstone CPM and ProMedica, will be joined by more than 230 golfers who will tee off to support the Lima Memorial Foundation. Proceeds from the event will benefit the transformation of Lima Memorial’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center. The Foundation has committed to raising $1 million to support this project that will ultimately benefit those affected by a debilitating illness or injury, restoring their lives and building confidence.
Through community support to the Foundation, Lima Memorial has been able to establish its now world-renowned surgical robotics program and introduce many advancements, including innovative lung cancer diagnostic technology, sophisticated infection control equipment and a state-of-the-art simulation and education laboratory. An electrophysiology program is on the horizon and will bring intricate heart rhythm management procedures to our community, in collaboration with experts from The Ohio State Heart and Vascular Center.
