LMHS Nationally Accredited by American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer

Lima Memorial Health System announces it has received accreditation under the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation Program. This accreditation demonstrates Lima Memorial’s commitment to improving cancer care across the continuum through its continued compliance with ACS CoC standards. 

The ACS CoC is a group of professional organizations dedicated to improving quality of life and survival for patients with cancer by both setting and raising standards of care. To receive accreditation, Lima Memorial underwent a rigorous evaluation and review of performance and compliance with CoC standards, which provide the structure for providing patients with comprehensive cancer care services and resources.

In addition to accreditation, Lima Memorial also received recognition as an ACS Surgical Quality Partner, highlighting the health system’s commitment to consistent improvement upon procedures and approaches. The Surgical Quality Partner designation signifies that Lima Memorial is dedicated to quality, persistent self-improvement and has been verified or accredited by the ACS.
