On Thursday, March 21, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Lima Memorial Health System will host Rhodes State College’s spring semester student capstone project presentations via a health and wellness fair. The health and wellness fair is open to the community and will take place in Lima Memorial Health System’s Welcome Center. Students will interact with and provide community members education on important health topics, such as diabetes, heart disease, prenatal health and more.
"We are honored to collaborate with Rhodes State College again in fostering the next generation of nursing leaders” shared Jaime Quellhorst, Executive Director of Nursing, Lima Memorial Health System. “By hosting their capstone projects, we not only empower students to thrive in real-world settings, but also enrich our own commitment to caring for our community."
Rhodes State College has been an incredibly supportive pillar in the community when it comes to training and educating the workforce of the greater Lima region. Whether it is health care, manufacturing, business and industry, social service, public service or other fields, Rhodes State College is a leader in providing accessible education to the future of the workforce.
“Rhodes State is proud to partner with Lima Memorial Health System to showcase our senior level students’ health fair projects. Our students are preparing to take that next step from student to graduate nurse, and the valuable feedback they receive from the nurses and other hospital staff who visit their booths is greatly appreciated,” said Dr. Melissa Harvey, Assistant Dean, Nursing Services at Rhodes State College.
