For his Eagle Scout service project, thirteen-year-old Noah Brennan will transform Lima Memorial’s courtyard into a healthy and revitalized recreational space called the Lima Memorial Serenity Garden. Noah’s goal will be to redesign the space so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a healthy and serene environment.
For years, the outside courtyard space of Lima Memorial Hospital served as an area for patients, visitors and employees to smoke. While the area is no longer in use, it is still remembered as the place where anyone on the hospital campus could visit and light a cigarette. Noah Brennan is going to change that.
“The opportunity to transform the area into something positive is what inspired me to do this,” says Noah. “The area will be dedicated to past, present and future employees and volunteers of Lima Memorial.”
Noah is a scout with Troop 777 and is currently in the rank of Life Scout. Now, he is working towards his Eagle Scout rank—the highest rank in Boy Scouts. As part of this project, Noah will be raising necessary funds, designing the project and completing the work needed to revitalize the area.
