Locally, Mended Hearts members can be found making daily visits to patients at Lima Memorial who are preparing for a heart procedure or having just underwent one. The Mended Hearts members do more than visit patients; they provide education, support and encouragement to all types of heart patients and their families. This local community chapter help people understand that there can be a rich, rewarding life after a heart disease diagnosis. Members listen, share their experiences and volunteer to talk to heart patients about what they may face including lifestyle changes, depression, recovery and treatment.
