Lung Health Day Bake Sale to Support Lima Memorial Health System's Oncology Services

Please join Lima Memorial Health System’s respiratory care team and Rhodes State College students on Wednesday, October 25, for a bake sale in recognition of Lung Health Day. The sale will take place in the Welcome Center from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Vital information on smoking / vaping cessation will be provided, as well as live demonstrations of how pulmonary function testing is completed at Lima Memorial. Purchases from the bake sale will directly support Lima Memorial’s oncology services, especially those that will benefit patients with lung cancer.
“We very much look forward to joining together and raising awareness about lung health,” shares Tiffany Thomas, Clinical Coordinator of Respiratory Care. “Additionally, by supporting the bake sale, community members can also be assured they will be making an impact on those receiving lung cancer care right here in our community.”
Chronic lung diseases, like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchitis and lung cancer impact the lives of millions each day, with lung cancer as the leading cause of cancer death among men and women in the U.S. according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
