State’s Only Postural Restoration Certified™ Therapist at Lima Memorial Health System
Alex Maag, DPT, Physical Therapist at Lima Memorial Health System, has earned his PRC credentials by completing the Postural Restoration Certified™ (PRC) credentialing program. Alex is the only therapist in the state of Ohio with this specialized certification. To achieve this honor, Alex completed multiple advanced Postural Restoration Institute courses, demonstrated a thorough understanding of the science through completion of the PRC application and successfully participated in both clinical and analytical testing.
PRC professionals offer a unique approach to physical medicine. Postural Restoration® is a neurological, global approach to treating impairments and pain based on the body’s natural asymmetries. Focusing on lumbopelvic, cervical, thoracic and scapular asymmetries and impairments, the Postural Restoration® technique retrains muscles in specific body positions to pull the body into a more symmetrical alignment by utilizing the diaphragm, an often neglected core muscle.
